　　Glass is an ancient building material. With the rapid advancement of modern technology and the ever-changing application techniques, various uniquely functional glasses have emerged, flourishing the glass family.
Shatterproof
　　A British aircraft manufacturing company has invented a type of shatterproof glass for airplanes. It is a multilayer glass with a transparent plastic film made of bonded debris. This plastic film, based on polycarbonate, has a viscous semi-liquid consistency. When someone tries to break it, the impacted polycarbonate film slowly gathers together and restores its unique integrity. This glass can be used in cars as well as anti-theft vehicles.
Bulletproof
　　Bulletproof glass is a composite material made from glass (or acrylic) and high-quality engineering plastics through special processing. It is usually a transparent material, such as PVB/polycarbonate fiber thermoplastic (commonly known as Lexan resin). It has the appearance of ordinary glass and transmits light, providing a certain level of protection against small arms fire. The thickest PC board can reach 136 mm thick, with a maximum width of 2166 mm, and an effective time of up to 6664 days.
