1. LOW-E Glass
LOW-E glass (low-emissivity coated glass) is a coated product made by vacuum sputtering multiple layers of metal or other compounds on the surface of high-quality float glass. It is a type of glass that has selective transmission and reflection capabilities for visible light and infrared radiation. Its coating layer has high transmittance for visible light and high reflectance for mid to far infrared radiation, giving it excellent thermal insulation and good light transmission compared to ordinary glass and traditional coated architectural glass.
2. Products
Sunshade type LOW-E glass;
High transmittance type LOW-E glass;
Tempered single silver LOW-E glass;
Double silver LOW-E glass;
Double silver tempered LOW-E glass.
3.Characteristics
Close to the natural original color of glass;
High selectivity for visible light wavelengths from 380mm to 780mm, preventing serious glare pollution due to the high reflectance of visible light by the glass;
Visible light from sunlight enters the room, with natural color and good lighting, reducing the use of indoor lighting fixtures and saving energy;
High emissivity for infrared radiation, especially for long-wavelength infrared, which is almost fully reflected. It blocks a large amount of heat sources from entering, making the indoor environment feel cool, achieving a warm winter and cool summer effect.
Effect.
4.Specification
Thickness: 3-19mm
Maximum Size: 2540x3660mm
5.Standards
Complies with GB/T18915.2 "Coated Glass" national standard
6. Notes
Due to the chemical reactions that LOW-E coated glass can undergo when exposed to the atmosphere, it must be sealed or processed into insulated glass within a short period of time; single-pane use is not recommended;
The emissivity of LOW-E glass is 0.02-0.15, while the emissivity of uncoated glass is generally 0.84;
In areas with cold winters and hot summers, the coated surface should be installed on surface 2 for thermal insulation; in extremely cold regions, the coated surface should be installed on surface 3 for heat preservation;
When designing LOW-E coatings for laminated glass, its U-value is relatively high, resulting in poor thermal insulation.
