Daily Maintenance of Glass

  1. Do not collide with the glass surface with force during normal use. To prevent scratches on the glass surface, it is best to lay a tablecloth. When placing items on glass furniture, handle them gently and avoid collisions.
  2. For daily cleaning, simply wipe with a damp cloth or newspaper. If there are stains, you can use a cloth dipped in beer or warm vinegar to remove them. Additionally, you can use commercially available glass cleaners, but avoid using strong acidic or alkaline solutions. In winter, the glass surface is prone to frosting; you can wipe it with a cloth dipped in concentrated salt water or white wine for good results.
  3. If patterned frosted glass gets dirty, you can use a toothbrush dipped in cleaner to scrub in circles along the pattern to remove the dirt. Alternatively, you can drop a bit of kerosene on the glass or use a mixture of chalk dust and plaster powder dipped in water, apply it to the glass, let it dry, and then wipe with a clean cloth or cotton to make the glass clean and bright.
  4. Glass furniture is best placed in a relatively fixed location and should not be moved back and forth casually. Items should be placed steadily, with heavy items at the bottom of the glass furniture to prevent tipping due to an unstable center of gravity. Additionally, avoid moisture, keep away from stoves, and isolate from acidic, alkaline, and other chemical reagents to prevent corrosion and deterioration.
  5. Using plastic wrap and a damp cloth sprayed with detergent can also give glass that is often covered in grease a "new life." First, spray the glass thoroughly with cleaner, then apply plastic wrap to soften the hardened grease. After ten minutes, remove the plastic wrap and wipe with a damp cloth. To keep the glass shiny and bright, regular cleaning is necessary. If there are marks on the glass, you can rub them with a wet eraser and then wipe with a damp cloth; if there is paint on the glass, you can wipe it with cotton dipped in hot vinegar; using a clean dry cloth dipped in alcohol to wipe the glass can make it shine like crystal.
